Joseph Binder (1898–1972) was a prominent Austrian graphic designer and illustrator, recognized as a pioneering figure in the field of 20th-century modernist graphic design. Born in Austria-Hungary, Binder's career spanned several decades during which he made significant contributions to both European and American visual culture. Binder's artistic journey began with his studies at the Graphische Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt in Vienna, where he honed his skills in graphic arts and illustration.
